#3 Start finding a positive in each day [IN PROGRESS]

Generally speaking I’m a pretty happy and positive person but sometimes I can have a day where I just don’t want to get out of bed. It’ll be one of those days where I just can’t find the energy for another day at work or some other mundane chore. And still, even those days often have something positive about them. It’s important to take note of those moments and cherish them.

Something I don’t always find easy on days where I step in dog poop, get soaking wet by rain, ruin a perfectly good shirt, or find out I owe more tax money than I thought.

With this little idea I want to start working on finding something positive in each day by literally writing down something positive that happend or that I came across. I found this on ( I think pinterest) but the general idea is that you have a jar or box where you put a little note in, each day. You don’t write down what you did and you don’t necessarily need to write a date on there either but just put down something that made you feel happy or positive on that day.

A perfect challenge for this project so I chose two jars. One where I can put a little “positive” origami star in each day and the other where I can leave a note (with date) in.

At the end of this project I want to give away the jar with little stars to someone who I feel could use a little positive energy. The other jar I will keep myself as a reminder that positive things happen all the time.

I do have to say that I don’t expect myself to literally do this every day. I might save them and make all seven at once at the end of the week or I might miss a day here and then. For me the important thing is that I do try to actively think about this and fill the jar up as much as I can.

Wish me luck!
