As part of my 101 things to do in 1001 days I’ve accepted the challenge of answering the ‘5000 Question Survey’. I’ll be following the original 50 parts and answer a 100 questions per post. This is part thirthy with questions 2901 – 3000.

No. Well maybe when I was little.

 

2902. Why are ciggarette companies allowed to manufacture and sell ciggarettes when they are so unhealthya nd dangerous? They are getting rich on the deaths of the people you love who smoke.

Because people are allowed to make their own choices. By that logic you would need to prohibit everything from alcohol to sugar to coffee and fat foods.

 

2903. Do you chat with people in an elevator?

No.

2905. Who should play the part of Superman?

I don’t really care either way. I did quite like the guy they picked for Man of Steel although he is a bit too “smooth”.

2916. Why is it that 70 percent of americans Do Not want to go to war with Iraq and yet we are going to war with Iraq anyway? Is this democracy?

Of course not but we all live in a pretend democracy.

 

2917. Imagine you have two chices of what life you can live:

One: You are provided with meals, medicine, clothes and shelter. You are always with your family. You can lie in the sun and smoke, drink, play, cook, etc.. There will be certain rules you must follow such as no killing, no hurting others, no leaving the commune you were born in, no stealing, no tv, no newspapers and no books.

OR

Two: You are turned loose in the world with nothing. You start out cold and hungry. You may stay cold and hungry forever but you also have the opportunity to try and make a life for yourself. This will take a lot of hard work and there is no guaruntee you will ever live comfortably.

Which life do you choose?

WHY?

I guess the first one. Because that’s what I would try to achieve when going out to world number two.

 

2918. Why is there no ‘Mr. America’ pageant? Should there be? What qualities would YOU look for in a Mr. America if such a contest were to exist (like miss america he would have to be a role model)?

God and here I was hoping you’d actually stop with the multiple questions in one question. But I guess it would be fun to have one and it should be equal to Ms. America in most ways. perhaps a few more adjust to male physique.

 

2919. If something offends you do you feel that it has no right to exist?

Of course it has a right to exist. Right now you see everyone yelling “THAT OFFENDS ME”. Well? So what?! That’s your problem, not mine. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and believes but that doesn’t make them right and that doesn’t mean everyone should agree with you.

 

2920. Why do advertisers seem to believe that guys will buy any product that a hot girl in a bikini is sitting next too?

Because it actually works.

 

2921. What would you do if your mom had a fight with a male aquantance and you heard an answering machine message he left her cursing at her, calling her names and being very disrespectful?

Let my mom handle it. She can take care of herself.

Tons of times as a kid. But a few years ago I did it with a friend because we got cheap Pokémon ones.

Few months ago.

Smoking? (Don’t smoke anymore)

The dogs. Myself.

 

2933. Do you think that lawyers should only argue cases when they feel like the client is in the right? If you were a lawyer would you argue cases when you felt like your client was completely wrong?

Up to the lawyer. Their choice. I don’t know what I would do. If it’s something relatively innocent sure, but for example a man whom I believe is guilty of child abuse I would have a hard time defending.

Nope.

Probably just my name. Maaaaybe a smiley face but no more.

Few things. Have an origami book.

 

2937. How can a girl get a guy-she-is-dating’s mom to like her better?

Probably to be thoughtful, not too forcefull and pushy, and never arrive at her house empty-handed.

Can’t think of anything.

Yes.

 

2941. What would you think of a new reality tv game show where real life criminals on death row competed in life threatening tasks for the prize of a reduced sentance? Did you know that they are considering making this a show? Would you watch it?

Honestly I know I shouldn’t want to watch this as it’s all sorts of wrong but I probably would.

Don’t know.

 

2943. What Saturday morning cartoons do you like?

I used to love Dragonball Z, Pokémon, Totally Spies, anything on Cartoon Network and so many more.

Probably.

 

2944. What does the T in T-Shirt really mean?

It’s because of the shape.

 

2945. Would you alter your routine if there was a sniper in your area? If so how?

Doubt it would make a lot of difference.

No. It probably won’t help.

No.

By at least making sure I look great and up-to-date with fashion, with new, clean, undamaged, clothes. Preferably from their store (or at least some items). And besides that I would just be myself, talk about my skills, what the company can expect from me and what I expect from them etc. Like a normal job interview.

Build in browser blocker.

 

2951. You are alone. You take a bus to the mall. The stop is right in the mall parking lot. You window-shop. You don’t buy anything. You want to get back on the bus to go home when you realize you have lost all your money. You have no cell phone. All the payphones are jammed with gum. You can not get it out. How do you get the $1.50 you need to get on the bus and get home???

Yes. Tipping is a “reward” for a job well done. If you don’t do your job right, you don’t get it. This is of course from my European view where servers already get a normal wage.

I think I can pretty much cover all ten by saying “treat others as you want them to treat you”.

You should’ve paid attention to biology class.

Maybe if I was really drunk. But I usually have no patience with films I find crappy.

I’m very torn on this one. On one hand I can see the beauty in the thought of holding a little piece with you so you have something tangible of that person. But on the other hand you keep hold of them so they can’t fully let go and move on. And neither can you. I think memories or pictures serve a better purpose for remembering and cherishing that person.

No.

Youth. Experience.

They are al based on needs, when you need (to do) something you find a way to do it.

I think you can only really tell afterwards. Because sometimes things don’t work out the way you thought they would.

No.  And I was going to say I wouldn’t but I googled her and ‘The Awakening’ seems really interesting.
