As you may already know I’m a huge fan of Japan and Japanese culture. The contrast between modern and traditional, logical and spiritual, hyper-modern and old-fashioned, the long history, amazing scenery and it’s people have always fascinated me.
Besides writing about the country on a different website and studying the language I also like to visit Japan. Sadly I can’t do this as often as I’d like but I’m fortunate enough to be able to visit three times so far.
As next year is probably going to be a year filled with “adult” things like worrying about a mortgage and paying many other bills this year will be the last chance I get for a while to travel to Japan and of course I’m going to make the most of it and booked another trip this autumn where I can spend another three weeks travelling through Japan.
Since we’ve already been to Tokyo, Kyoto, Nikko, Hiroshima, Miyajima, and Fukuoka we’re taking some new roads this time and plan on visiting some harder to reach places such as Shirakawa-Go and go on a tour to watch the beautiful autumn leaves. We don’t have the full details yet but once we’ve set up our full travelplans I’ll be sure to update them!
For now have some snapshots from my previous trips through Japan 🙂 For a full feature on Cherry Blossoms in Japan you can view the dedicated album here.
